Promoting CAL by promoting YOU!
What you do that is art-related is important to the future of the Conroe Art League, but only if you let us know about it.
-- if it relates to our mission - " encouraging artistic development and art appreciation through education, exhibitions and community outreach," and you let us know about it, it provides proof (always NECESSARY) when seeking grants/funding from other foundations/organizations, including the grant from Conroe Commission on Arts and Culture;
-- Community outreach efforts matter to the media, especially when young people are involved;
-- Community outreach reminds the City of Conroe's Mayor and Council that we continue to warrant their support in the Madeley Building.
-- if you display, sell, donate, offer for auction, etc. your artwork or artistic skills to a known charity fundraiser, that counts as CAL community outreach AND what you do that is art-related (includes non-juried group or solo shows, as well as more prestigious juried group or solo shows):
-- helps familiarize the greater Conroe community with your name as an artist;
-- helps promote your art
DEADLINES FOR ART TALK are noted on our calendar at the link above.
Thanks everyone, Maggie Gutierrez
