Participate, Share, and Celebrate the Arts

GALLERY HOURS

We are open Tuesday through Saturday

from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.

Docent shifts are 11:00 - 1:30 and 1:30 - 4:00.

The gallery will be open for Thirsty Thursday on June 23rd

The gallery will be staying open until 7:00.

JUNE DOCENT TRAINING

If you haven't signed up to docent because of Docent training, there is good news - Debra Riley will be holding a session on Monday, June 20th from 1pm-12pm.

Our new board members have been busy filling the Calendar with all pertinent dates for take in/out, meetings, etc. Please check it out here.

Debra Riley wins the May Juan Cantavella Award. Congratulations on the public response to "This Little Light Of Mine" Debra!

 

The winner of the May award is also the quarterly Banner winner. Congratulations Judi Lanza for "Lady with the calf" being selected. Come see it in the courtyard during June, July and August.

 

JUNE TAKE-IN/OUT

June Take-In/Out will be Tuesday, July 5th, from 11 am - 4 pm. 

Be sure to register online and sign up for your docent shift prior to dropping off your artwork (here). Registration is required online and not later than Monday evening, 8:00pm, July 4th.

STUDENT RAFFLE

 The raffle item for July is donated by Debby McLoughlin and is two 20 oz RTIC Tumblers.  Perfect for these hot summer days!

 

MONTHLY GENERAL MEETING

The next general meeting will be held on

 Saturday, July 9th, at 4:00pm.  David Bartel,

woodworking artist, will be the Demo Artist.

ARTIST RECEPTION

The July reception will be Saturday the 9th, 

from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

FEATURED ARTIST PAGE

 

In doing computer maintenance, we noticed that members are not properly using the Featured Artist area of the website.  As a result some members that are on that page are no longer displayed. If you notice that's the case for you please upload a profile photo AND  upload at least one photo album containing images of your art.  Photo albums containing images of things other than their art work are not allowed. For question, feel free to email us here.

NOT JUST ONE STYLE OF ART

 
 

Multi-Arts Camp Tour held on June 15th.  CAL members Rebekah and Judi Lanza worked in conjunction with the City of Conroe Arts and Recreation Department to provide a fun Multi-Arts Camp which includes a tour of the CAL Gallery and a gift for each student.

2022 LSAG ANNUAL SHOW

 

All entries are in the process of being judged.  There will be a judge’s critique on Saturday, June 18th at 10:00am.  Watch for a zoom link announcement through email from LSAG.

2022 CAL FALL JUDGED SHOW

 

CAL will hold a Fall Judged Show this year.  The show will be held virtually as was the Spring Judged Show.  Watch your emails and newsletters for details to come.

 

Juan Cantavella has been awarded Signature status with Oil Painters of America. See his painting "Pure Joy" and other beautiful works here.

 
 

Member Craig Campobella is exhibiting at the Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville, GA through August.

Teen Art Boot Camp

For ages 12 - 18,  The 8-session acrylic workshop will be taught by internet sensation @brellian_official.  It will be held on Thursday afternoons from 1 to 3:30 p.m. beginning Thursday, June 9. The theme will be“Inspired by Nature”.  Contact Sarah at hello.brellian@gmail.com.
