A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Conroe Art League Family and Friends,

As I write to you on this warm December evening, I am thinking of you and what you might be looking forward to in the upcoming new year. As an artist and person who loves anything creative, it is my hope that you will tap into the artistic part of your being in ways that will astound YOU.

Stand up on your toes and peak over the edge of 2023 with fearless energy. Your voice needs to be heard and, if you wait until you’re “good enough” to speak, the rest of us cannot hear your message. Your voice encourages us as a whole.

I have only been your President for a few months, but I really, truly understand the value of art in your life. And, the most wonderful part is, you have a Board of Directors who understand as well. Thank you for encouraging us and entrusting us with your art league and gallery.

So, dig deep my friends. Try something new or just do what you do. Each of us has value and merit. It’s a wonderful time to be an artist.

Let’s show off in the New Year!

Blessings,

Pam Markham

Conroe Art League, President

ARTISTS IN ACTION

There are still a few spots left to be one of the "Artists In Action" this month.  The gallery is open late for the downtown Conroe event "Sip n' Shop" and will offer the chance to work on a current project in the gallery and share with the general public.

This monthly event is limited to 4 artists on the 22nd.  Artist must be a CAL member and provide all their own supplies/equipment and clean up when finished.  Artist are expected to be working on their art in the gallery from 4:00 to 7:00 and may bring samples of their art for sale.  All sales go through the CAL system with 20% going to CAL.

The goal is to get more visitors in the gallery, sell more of your work and get to know fellow CAL members in a fun and creative way.

To sign up, find the date on the calendar and click that link.  Please sign up for only one month to allow for more members to participate.   If you have any questions about the event please email Diane at calvicepresident@conroeartleague.com
