Art Without Rules
A Mixed-Media Journey
Step outside the lines and into the exciting world of mixed media! This class is all about experimentation, play, and creative freedom. You'll explore how to combine a variety of materials--including acrylic paint, collage, texture mediums, drawing tools, found objects, and expressive mark-making--to create richly-layered, dynamic artwork.
Learn how to build depth, add texture, and create visual interest while discovering your own unique artistic voice. This 2-session class held over 9 weeks encourages curiosity and letting go of perfection--there are no mistakes here, only creative opportunities. Open to all adults, both beginners and experienced artists, this class is perfect for anyone ready to loosen up, try something new, and enjoy creating beyond traditional boundaries.
Dates: Thursdays, March 5 through April 2, 2026
Times: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Tuition: $175
Location: Madeley Fine Art Gallery, upstairs classroom
*Students are encouraged to bring what they already have. This class is about exploration, not perfection--sharing materials and discovering new favorites is part of the fun. A supplies list will be mailed to you after you sign up for the class.
