Make a donation to CAL and win this beautiful original vessel created by Carol Roach.

"This Longhorn Slab piece is a low fire red clay Loghorn Red built with a slab method.  This piece was hand built, hand carved, hand stamped, and painted with ceramic glaze to create this quilt like vision.  Melted glass appears on the inside of the pottery as a surprise of medium.  Inspired by the quilts the artist's grandmother made.  This piece embodies the spirit of putting pieces together to make a whole.

For each $10 donation one ticket will be entered into the raffle.  The winning ticket will be drawn on November 8th at the general meeting.  You do not have to be present to win.  Support the arts and win a beautiful piece of art.  Raffle tickets may be purchased here or in the gallery at 127 Simonton Street, Conroe, where you can see the piece in person.

Heidi Williams will be presenting an art talk on Cultivating Creativity at the October General Meeting.  "Instead of waiting for inspiration to strike, learn how to cultivate creativity through simple, repeatable habits"
